Hello,
I’m Ty. I’ve been playing the Sims 3 now for about 2 years now. I played the Sims 2 only for a about 6 months or so before I purchased the Sims 3. In either game I’ve only ever played through to the 2nd generation. I’ve decided to start this blog as a way for me to “tell a story” and hopefully complete 10 generations. I will be playing a bit differently from the way most people do legacies.
I plan to move towns when the mood strikes. I do not use any cheats. Each generation can use the “inheritance” lifetime award only once. I will play with occults when the mood strikes.
Also I am not a builder, nor do I decorate very well, so please don’t judge. I’m open for any tips and recommendations.
Lastly, this blog will start midway through Generation 2. Why? Well unfortunately I accidentally deleted all photos I had taken of the Founder generation, especially with the first two children. The heir for generation 2 is the 3rd and final child.
How this legacy will work:
This is more like a “let’s play” than any specific goals. I say this because I don’t try to play the entire game with one sim. I just do a few things each generation. For example I’m going to try to marry someone from each generation after the founding generation to an occult. I’m going to alternate careers vs. professions each generation to break up things up a bit.
I chose the States because I will name each children after the United States. I will be going in alphabetical order, and the number of states with that letter will determine how many children that generation has. However, I am contemplating combining letters : D (Delaware), F (Florida), G (Georgia), H (Hawaii) into one generation (Gen 4), As i do not wish to play 4 Generations back to back with only 1 Sim child. I actually enjoy playing the toddlers. Down the road when I get to Louisiana and Pennsylvania, because they are between generations with tons of children, and spaced out I won’t mind playing just one Sim child that generation.
I do use mods to the game. All come from Twallan. His Mods can be found here: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/
I also use custom content form various TS3 free download sites. Including but not limited to mod the Sims which can be found here: http://modthesims.info/
Last but not least, I actually don’t expect anyone to read or follow this and if you are THANKS! feel free to comment, leave tips, and recommendations.
Oh yeah I forgot. presently i’m playing with graphics low, so sorry if the pictures aren’t very clear. I will be upgrading my laptop to an alienware for better performance, and graphics very soon (happy birthday to me 🙂 ) So soon the picture quality will be better. I have no plans to photo shop the pics too much simply b/c i’m not about that life. Too much time and effort and for me, it’s not that serious.
Hey. 🙂 I will add this to my reading list.
